First stage of Mojo - Belgian Shepherd Montage

Here is a the first stage of a montage painting of Mojo a Belgian Shepherd Tervuren. The concept behind this piece was basically, I ordered a canvas size of 40cm X 60cm, and actually got sent a 30cm X 60cm. Instead of sending it back I though "how can I use this for a pet portrait". Louise sent me these two beautiful photos of Mojo and I thought i could combine them to create a montage. So here is the initial sketch, followed by the first stage of painting. More stages to come of this one and of Zahra the Groenendael.
